Tree down on road to Hyalite

Drove in on monday during that wind storm and there was a tree down on the road past the reservoir. If anyone has gone in today, let me know if the forest service has moved it yet. I called them first thing this morning. Thanks, Nicole

Our group cleared the tree off the road yesterday. Ted Wood brought his Chain saw and with a few ounces of 2 cycle we had the tree removed. No problem driving the rest of the distance now to the parking lot. Conditions are back in great shape for Hyalite. ke

There is another tree down. You can drive over the end of it, but there is a chance of tire damage. If you have a saw, bring it with; and be the hero.

Cut that one today (Thursday) before it got buried and crushed into the road. In light of how many leaners and dead there are along the road, it wouldn't be a bad idea to throw a bowsaw or axe into your hyalite ride. Not so bad going in, but would be a bummer to get stuck up there if a tree fell during the day and blocked you in... ted
