Though equipped with claws that would rival the best tools of the trade, he just could seem to muster up the energy to pull his big butt up what i would rank a WI 1. FYI- Brutus is one of three Grizzlies who call Montana Grizzly Encounter home. He was a captive born cub who was going to be euthanized since he could not be released. His 2 girl friends are 19 year old bears who we rescued from a horrible captive facility where they spent 18 years in 6x6 cages. They are now ambassadors for their wild cousins. Since they cant be released they romp and play in a sizeable area furnished with large boulders, ponds, waterfall, and logs. Most of all they have eachother. People can come to see them safely and learn valuable things about grizzly bear preservation and habitat conservation. We hope their wild cousins can live in peace and will never have to be where they are due to human error. School children can view the bears free of charge, all while getting a presentation about living in bear country. this is so important, for they our the bears future. We create ice formations as part of their daily enrichment, they climb or destroy, but all very good for their mental and physical well being. Future plans for their home will include granite cliff face replication application to their walls, and a deep pond stocked with trout. This is not an advertisement of any sort. I just thought the picture was great, but felt if i did not post it with an explanation, it might not be excepted that way. Thanks, Casey
