the road is still unpassable by truck after the resevoir. we had a vehicle with 10-12 inches clearance and got stuck  right before the bridge about 1PM saturday...off to pine creek

The truck was mine and I honestly believe if you can make it over the dam you would be fine...the snow on the damn was pretty hard. I might go up there with a friend who likes getting his truck stuck and see if we can bash through a trail. I'll let you guys know if I do manage to get through.

Jason Leppi and I skied Blackmore today - we only went as far as the reservoir. I would not recommend driving up there. We did not go past the reservoir, but I can imagine it gets much worse. Get a snowmobile!

I drove up to the resivor Sunday. It was fine with a lightweight truck and 4X4. Then X/C skied to grotto falls. Didn't need to put on chains. There were two trucks that passed us and we saw their tracks at the grotto falls trail head. The road past the resivor is packed by snowmobile tracks, and their tracks didn't sink more than 6 inches. Climed G1, ice was good. -Rob Wudlick

Rode up the road tuesday and there were 3 large 4x4's stuck along the way - all well below the res. The road has deffinitely been packed by all the sled traffic, but there are still some rather rowdy spots, mainly after langhor, where the ruts get deep and squirrely. And, of course there are still many spots where you would not/could not pass anyone...
